Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients using age-appropriate techniques. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and medical supplies, as well as performing waived testing if applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using age-appropriate techniques
  • Maintain equipment and medical supplies
  • Perform waived testing if applicable
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare team to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Minimum Work Experience: Phlebotomist I (New graduate/Less than 3 years of experience)
  • Phlebotomist II (Minimum of 3 years of experience)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Phlebotomy Certification Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred
