We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist Clinic Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Competently perform radiologic procedures, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Identify patients, label images, and process images, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist physicians, work independently, and provide technical support to staff.
- Prepare and maintain records, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and accurate patient charges.
- Serve as a technical resource, role model, and preceptor for students and staff.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
- Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
- Knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, and radiology equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Shift differentials for PM, Nights, Weekends.
- 401(k) company contribution: 3% of your eligible annual salary.
- 401(k) employer match: dollar for dollar match up to 3%.
