Job Summary

Astor Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to children and designated personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet USDA nutritional requirements and minimize waste.
  • Maintain an inventory of food and supplies, and plan and order supplies to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prepare and serve meals promptly and efficiently, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Direct and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Assist teaching staff with cooking projects and events, and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a similar role.
