Position Overview:
Sonic Automotive is seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Technician. Our work environment promotes teamwork and collaboration, making it a refreshing change from the conventional automotive repair shops.

Key Responsibilities:


The Automotive Service Technician will be tasked with executing vehicle maintenance and repair tasks as per the established dealer and manufacturer standards.

The role includes:
- Conducting inspections and repairs on a range of pre-owned vehicles (typically 4 years old or newer, most with less than 50,000 miles)
- Performing lube, filter changes, and fluid flushes
- Managing brake and tire repairs
- Handling suspension adjustments and alignments
- Carrying out vehicle inspections
- Excluding heavy-line or bodywork responsibilities

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A minimum of 6 months of prior experience as an Automotive Mechanic or certification from an Auto Tech School
- A personal set of tools
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- The capability to follow instructions and a willingness to learn
- A respectful attitude towards colleagues and a positive mindset
