As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective medication therapy for our patients. You will be responsible for carefully executing each step in the dispensing process, performing clinical pharmacist duties, providing medication education, and maintaining optimal patient care and fiscal responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Carefully execute each step in the dispensing process according to law, regulatory standards, and The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis policies and standard of care to ensure safe and appropriate medication therapy.
- Perform clinical pharmacist duties in consistent and complete manner using evidence-based medicine to ensure safe, effective, and efficient medication therapy.
- Provide medication education to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to accomplish safe, effective, and efficient medication therapy.
- Accountability for efficient use of resources to maintain optimal patient care and fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school and a Kansas Board of Pharmacy license (or license-eligible). Preferred qualifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification, completion of an ASHP-approved residency or BPS Board Certification, one year prior pharmacy experience, and one to two years hospital pharmacy experience.
