Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainmaster to lead our railway operations in the Southern Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains across our 20,000-mile network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of daily yard-terminal/road operating plans to optimize traffic flow and minimize delays.
  • Supervise operating crews, yardmasters, and support staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business plans that drive growth and revenue.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; previous railway experience as a conductor or engineer preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain rules-qualified qualifications as a conductor or engineer.
  • Strong understanding of collective agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide positive, constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, to support a 24/7 operation.
