Senior Cytologist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cytologist to join our team at a prestigious teaching hospital in Boston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-renowned institution and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing fluid and tissue specimens for microscopic cellular abnormalities. Working closely with pathologists and independently, you will utilize your technical expertise to provide high-quality results and support patient care.

• Examine cell samples to detect abnormalities in color, shape, or size of cellular components and patterns
• Analyze samples such as Papanicolaou (PAP) smears, body fluids, and fine needle aspirations (FNAs) to detect abnormal conditions
• Provide patient clinical data or microscopic findings to assist pathologists in preparing pathology reports
• Assist pathologists or other physicians in collecting cell samples through fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies

• Bachelor's degree in cytotechnology
• CT(ASCP) certification
• Two years of experience

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
