Bartender Responsibilities:

Menu Knowledge:
  • Essential for each Bartender to deliver confident and skilled service, comprehensive menu knowledge is critical.
  • Familiarity with ingredients, preparation techniques, flavors, and presentations.
Job Duties:
  • Adhere to all service protocols.
  • Familiar with all menu items and able to describe them enticingly.
  • Actively promote sales through suggestive selling and enhancing the dining experience.
  • Arrives punctually and prepared for scheduled shifts.
  • Maintains a cheerful and friendly demeanor with colleagues, patrons, and supervisors.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of the service area.
  • Complies with all sanitation standards.
  • Assists with any tasks assigned by management.
  • Operates the Point of Sale system accurately to enhance the guest experience and ensure precise record-keeping.
  • Delivers exceptional service at the bar by consistently preparing beverages according to established recipes.
  • Knowledgeable about drink names, ingredients, preparation methods, suitable glassware, and garnishes.
  • Familiar with wines available by the glass and at least two selections from each category on the wine list across various price points and styles.
  • Knowledgeable about signature cocktails and able to articulate their details.
  • Familiar with specialty spirits, including small-batch bourbons, single malt scotches, and cognacs.
  • Understands all food menu descriptions.
  • Ensures stock levels meet established standards.
  • Conducts daily inventory and informs staff of any unavailable items.
  • Verifies that all patrons are at least 21 years old.
  • Provides accurate reporting of all income received during shifts.
  • Sells beverages responsibly, prioritizing the guests' interests.
  • Maintains a seamless flow of service between bar and server requests.
  • Handles cash and other payment transactions with precision.
