About the Role:
CommonSpirit Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dermatology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our ambulatory care team, you will provide clinical, surgical, and administrative support in a fast-paced dermatology setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including rooming and preparing patients for visits, assisting physicians in procedures and surgeries, and laser treatments as required.
- Work closely with patients seeking care for general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, prioritizing their comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
- Assist physicians in procedures and surgeries, and laser treatments across dermatology and Mohs as required by manager, and under the direct supervision of the provider.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant - Certified required.
- Maintain active CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing medical assistant in a dermatology or MOHS clinic/setting, or LPN with procedural skills and demonstrated competency of skills.
- Completion of the Association of Certified Dermatology Techs (ACDT) program within 1 year of employment.
- Current Association of Certified Dermatology Techs (ACDT) credential preferred.
- An AA degree is preferred.
