Occupational Therapist Early Intervention

Riverside Community Care is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Early Childhood Services team in Cambridge/Somerville. As an Occupational Therapist in our Early Intervention program, you will play a vital role in supporting families with children (0-3 years) who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disorders.

Our Approach:

We employ a dyadic relationship-based approach, focusing on strengthening the mutual enjoyment of daily activities and interactions between children and their caregivers. Our team practices cultural humility, developing relationships with families and growing in our understanding of their values, beliefs, priorities, routines, sources of stress, goals, and intervention needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to children with developmental delays or disorders
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and need
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote motor, feeding, and sensory integration skills
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and monthly discipline-specific meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or an OTD
  • Independent licensure preferred
  • Experience in early intervention, special needs populations, and early childhood preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Amharic, Nepali preferred
