Position Overview:
Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel RN specializing in Radiation Oncology.

Shift Details:
Day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with no weekends or on-call duties.

Contract Duration:
13 weeks

Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Proficiency in starting IVs and wound care
- Current BLS certification (AHA only, no HeartCode)
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience, CHEMO certification, OCN, ONS/ONCC certifications

Additional Information:
- Local candidates are welcome
- Caribbean Blue scrubs are required (not provided)
- Considered local if within a 50-mile radius
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions
- Flu vaccination is required with medical exemptions only

Role Responsibilities:
The Radiation Oncology RN will join a dynamic team in the South Bay area, supporting two physicians and collaborating with another RN. Key responsibilities include:
- Educating patients
- Initiating IVs
- Assisting healthcare providers during consultations and follow-ups
- Managing side effects and coordinating concurrent chemotherapy and radiation treatments
- Supporting physicians during nasopharyngeal scopes
- Triage calls and manage in-basket communications

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, no weekends, no on-call, no floating.

Essential Skills:
- Starting IVs and wound care are mandatory
- Preferred experience in outpatient oncology and radiation oncology
- Knowledge of various cancer types and their treatments
- Ability to manage oncologic emergencies and provide patient education
