Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead our business requirements projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that business, organizational, and system requirements are thoroughly planned, elicited, analyzed, validated, documented, reviewed, and tested.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage small to large-scale requirements projects, business improvement initiatives, and enterprise business architecture efforts.
  • Participate in all areas of the business analysis body of knowledge, including Enterprise Analysis.
  • Serve as project manager/lead for complex and moderate risk projects, aligning with the required skill set.
  • Create and provide input to project plans related to requirements.
  • Lead facilitated meetings with subject matter experts, ensuring outputs are documented.
  • Ensure requirements diagrams, models, and definitions are complete, consistent, and meet project needs.
  • Prepare Requirements Specification documentation as required.
  • Provide expertise on tools recommended by the Requirements Life Cycle (RLC) Process for requirements modeling, review, documentation, and management.
  • Understand and use components of the RLC Process focused on requirements.
  • Ensure test conditions and scripts are created and validated for user acceptance testing.
  • Manage requirements review sessions, traceability, and change request processes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the affected business area and anticipate future business scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain safe and sound business operations.
  • Work with project managers/program managers on effort and cost estimation, project scheduling and planning, and identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Design and execute detailed test plans and cases to verify software meets requirements.
  • Identify and correct problems and defects before implementation.
  • Ensure the system meets required specifications and performs acceptably within the network environment.
  • Perform regression testing and utilize testing tools for defect tracking, automated testing, and simulated load testing.
  • Report to the IT Director when participating as a QA resource on Type 1 projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in information systems, with an emphasis on the requirements life cycle, development, and testing.
  • 6+ years of experience leading testing efforts, and/or dedicated staff to complete significant systems design, testing, and/or implementation.
  • Knowledge of requirements analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of current best practices, methodologies, standards, and approaches to Business Analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
