Elgin Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Perkins Grant Administrator. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act and providing oversight of the Perkins Grant at Elgin Community College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Management: Manage and ensure compliance of the grant program realized under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, which supports the community colleges associate in applied science degree programs of study, technical certificates, and related student services programs.
  • Program Development: Facilitate relevancy and currency of CTE programming with the labor market by providing data analysis and strategic decision support for Perkins-related activities and programs.
  • Grant Budgeting: Manage grant budgets and expenditures, monitor grant timelines, and ensure spending targets are being achieved in accordance with college budget timelines.
  • Partnerships: Engage both internal and external partners in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Perkins-related activities and documentation of these activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience managing a grant, project management skills, budget management experience, and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skills: Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, knowledge of career and technical education programs, and computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree is preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment is typical of an office or administrative setting with moderate noise levels.
