Responsibilities- Provide medication management, including dispensing, administering, and documenting use of medication in patient charts
- Ensure medication rooms are properly stocked and maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu
- Work closely with other members of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide collaborative trauma-informed psychiatric care to assigned patients
- Assist RNs with monitoring patients, documenting charts, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
- Supervise PNAs and serve as a positive role model
- Assist with admissions and discharges and provide patient and family education, particularly with regards to medications
- Current, Virginia license to practice as a LPN or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement is accepted
- Knowledge of illness and treatment modalities to include medication administration
- Ability to implement nursing care plan and provide guidance to other staff
- Ability to delegate and supervise nursing staff
- Effective communication (written, verbal and sign)
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary team
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
