You will be accountable for performing your duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital, as well as principles of quality enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- The Progressive Care Unit consists of a 9-bed, multi-disciplinary environment staffed by acute care professionals dedicated to managing critically ill, medically intricate patients who need prolonged acute care. Most patients are dependent on ventilators and present with multiple co-morbidities, necessitating aggressive ventilator weaning. As a nurse in this setting, you will provide care to patients with step-down level acuity, utilizing your full scope of practice while collaborating closely with other healthcare disciplines on each shift.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Must hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Prior hospital experience is required; experience in Medical/Surgical nursing is preferred.
