Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Surgical Support: Provide technical support to surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
  • Supply Management: Assist in the organization and coordination of supplies and equipment to maintain an efficient and cost-effective department.
  • Patient Care: Provide age-specific care to obstetrical patients, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
  • Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required; incumbents in the role as of March 13, 2022, will have one year to obtain certification.
  • Experience: Two years of experience as a surgical technologist.
