As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will be essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Qualifications:
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in Mammography (M) required.
  • Preferred one to two years of experience in a hospital radiology setting, though not mandatory.
  • BLS Certification is a requirement.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate X-ray machinery and conduct various mammography-related procedures.
  • Assess and interpret film quality for attributes such as density contrast, definition, and distortion.
  • Communicate procedures clearly and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health. Duties also include maintaining records and files, as well as cleaning and calibrating equipment as necessary.
  • Utilize experience and judgment to strategize and achieve objectives. Engage in a variety of tasks while working under general supervision. A degree of creativity and independence is expected. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
