Job Details

Anderson University School of Nursing invites applications for a faculty position that includes didactic, clinical, simulation, and lab work. This is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment that will begin in August 2024.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and delivers didactic nursing concepts, maintaining expertise in content.
  • Collaborates with faculty to develop course and student experiences.
  • Collaborates with clinical coordinator for clinical placements.
  • Teaches 24 credit hours or 360 contact hours per year, including the possibility of teaching summer courses.
  • Maintains knowledge of The Essentials of Nursing Education for Baccalaureate Degree Programs.
  • Participates in committee work, advises nursing students, and prepares students for NCLEX.
  • Facilitates and manages clinical activities, with a minimum of eight office hours weekly for student engagement.
  • Attends graduations, retreats, SOAR, and other SON activities.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Masters in Nursing from an accredited institution required.
  • Masters in Nursing Education preferred.
  • Active, unencumbered Indiana RN License.
  • Minimum of 3 years nursing practice with experience in medical-surgical and intensive care.
  • Collaborative approach to working with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to handle situations with tact, professionalism, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Creative, dynamic, and innovative teaching methods.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.
