Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to infection control policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely setup of the operating room, including draping and positioning of patients.
  • Maintain inventory of surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ordering supplies as needed and documenting usage.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
