Position Overview:

CPH is seeking a Professional Surveyor and Mapper based in Florida. We recognize that success in this role hinges on the integration of technology, quality assurance, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture client relationships; oversee project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance for surveying projects from inception to completion.
  • Supervise survey operations to ensure that performance objectives are met.
  • Coordinate effectively with project team members and provide clear guidance to survey support staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and modifications to the software utilized.
  • Conduct calculations for field teams and mapping as required.
  • Research and compile project information prior to commencement of work.
  • Examine deeds and research materials for survey production.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to timelines and budget constraints, addressing any issues with management as necessary.
  • Oversee office personnel assigned to your projects.
  • Collaborate with field crew supervisors to align project requirements and work with field staff to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Prioritize project timelines for yourself and your team.
  • Manage QA/QC scheduling.
  • Monitor each project to guarantee client satisfaction with services and deliverables, ensuring all aspects of the project scope are fully executed.
  • Review timesheets of assigned personnel daily for your projects.
  • Assist with project estimates as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) license in Florida; an additional license in Georgia is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proven track record in project management, particularly in Site Development and surveying.
  • Experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK, including Civil 3D or equivalent project management experience in transportation surveying, as well as familiarity with DOT Location & Surveys standards.
  • Experience in Subsurface Utility Engineering is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
