We are in search of dedicated CT Imaging Specialists for immediate travel positions. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Below are the essential responsibilities and qualifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a CT Imaging Specialist, your duties will include:
- Verifying patient identity and reviewing imaging requests while explaining procedures to patients, providing necessary reassurance and support.
- Interpreting physicians' written instructions accurately.
- Positioning patients appropriately to capture images of specific body areas.
- Utilizing computed tomography equipment to obtain diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
- Administering radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures.
- Assessing CT scans to ensure they meet technical quality standards.
- Adhering to safety protocols when handling radiation.
- Maintaining precise patient records.
- Utilizing the McKesson PACS system effectively.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography.
- State-specific licensing as required.
CT Imaging Specialists should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and stooping as necessary. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
