Position Overview:

AtkinsRéalis stands as a premier provider of engineering consultancy and support services globally. We are excited to announce our Civil Engineering Apprenticeship program, designed to cultivate the next generation of engineering professionals.

Program Highlights:
This apprenticeship spans three years, leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7).

Learning Structure:
The apprenticeship is conducted in collaboration with SOLAS and ATU Sligo, providing a blend of academic and practical learning experiences.

Apprenticeship Components:
- Initial on-campus week at ATU Sligo.
- Monthly on-campus days for hands-on labs and workshops.
- Weekly online lectures to support theoretical learning.

Work-Based Experience:
Apprentices will engage in practical work with our teams, gaining invaluable on-the-job experience. Each apprentice will be paired with a dedicated mentor to guide their development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers on project design and execution.
- Assist in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Participate in site visits and surveys under supervision.
- Develop skills in design software and prepare technical drawings and reports.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
- Highly motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn engineering design software.

Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) educational qualification.
- Pass in Maths at Level 5 (or equivalent).
