Diesel Shop Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Diesel Shop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet of trucks at S & H Trucking, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the diesel shop facility, performing tractor trailer repair and maintenance work, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

• Facility Management: Manage and mentor all shop employees, including mechanics, safety technicians, and wash crew, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Service Coordination: Coordinate all service and repairs with office staff and drivers to ensure timely and effective maintenance of our fleet.
• Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel equipment, including tractor trailers, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Vendor Management: Work with outside vendors to service and repair equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Administrative Duties: Perform administrative duties, including receiving and entering repairs on computer daily, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the facility and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained, meeting company standards and regulations.

• Experience: 3-5 years of shop management experience and 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, Class A CDL, and diesel engine repair experience.
• Skills: Excellent reading and writing skills, strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to lift at least 90lbs.
