Job Overview

The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of production processes by conducting thorough quality inspections across various lines. This position involves adhering to established quality assurance protocols and ensuring that the final products meet all compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize basic mathematical and computer skills effectively.
  • Identify foreign materials and defects during almond sorting processes.
  • Complete sample documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Count and verify foreign materials for Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting.
  • Develop an understanding of almond varieties, quality metrics, and potential defects.
  • Assist as a line sorter when necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
  • Be available for overtime work as required.
  • Possess knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety regulations.
  • Be flexible to work any assigned shift.
  • Familiarity with USDA sampling is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Compensation will be based on experience.
