We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester, TN.

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with Cath Lab patients to ensure their comfort and make them aware of what to expect during procedures.

The successful candidate will perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments as needed.

You will document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process
  • Work closely with Cath Lab patients to ensure their comfort and make them aware of what to expect during procedures
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments as needed
  • Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current and active Registered Nurse licensure for the State of Tennessee
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
