GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the program by managing stock levels, storage, and the distribution of inventory. This position is essential for ensuring that supplies and items are readily available to meet operational needs. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining an organized inventory system that is accurately tracked and efficiently managed, contributing to the overall health and stability of the organization.
ABOUT YOU
You possess a strong understanding of inventory tracking systems and are adept at maintaining effective inventory management processes. Your ability to coordinate shipping operations in a timely manner is crucial to the success of this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process requisitions by utilizing stock inventory, managing stock levels, forecasting needs, and collaborating with other departments to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Receive, unload, and process incoming deliveries; verify items against purchase orders, ensure proper documentation, and inspect goods upon receipt.
- Utilize inventory management software to barcode and maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries; conduct regular physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and financial performance.
- Inspect inventory for defects, damages, or expiration dates; ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain current fleet inventory and documentation, coordinating with logistics and procurement teams to support operational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to federal guidelines and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
- Manage incoming and outgoing packages while organizing inventory effectively.
- Print shipping labels and postage, distributing supplies and products to designated departments.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience in data entry, inventory management, and proficiency with Excel.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift items weighing more than 15 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and capability to travel between sites.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
