Actuarial Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Actuary to join our team at Lilypad Insurance Managers Inc. This role will involve leading the ratemaking process, producing loss reserving analysis, and collaborating with other functional areas.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of actuarial ratemaking techniques, particularly for catastrophe-exposed personal and commercial property lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the ratemaking process, including rate indications, risk classification, rating plan design, and competitor analysis.
• Produce loss reserving analysis to ensure accurate financial projections.
• Collaborate with other functional areas to execute rate reviews and gain regulatory approval for rate filings.
• Provide thought leadership by researching and advocating for the best techniques, methodologies, and practices.

Requirements:

• Expertise in actuarial ratemaking techniques, especially for catastrophe-exposed personal and commercial property lines.
• Extensive experience in loss reserving analysis and basic accounting principles.
• Advanced knowledge of industry data sources and tools.
• Solid history of working effectively with regulators.
