Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team.
  • Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
  • Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Charge Nurse and to the on-coming shift to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide care for critically ill patients with central/invasive lines, hemodynamic pressure lines, pressure monitoring devices, temporary pacing, artificial airway/mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide care for unstable cardiac patients, immediate post-op patients, and potential organ or tissue donor patients.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting.
  • Recent critical care/clinical nursing experience – preferred.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited Nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification – preferred.
