Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Endoscopy Specialist to join our team. As an Endoscopy Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians during procedures, ensuring the cleanliness and disinfection of endoscopes, and maintaining equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient experience for patients.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and disinfection for endoscopes, adhering to quality control measures.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide effective care and adapt to changing situations in a positive and constructive manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with endoscopic procedures preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required; Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) Certification a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities, with a flexible work schedule.

Physical and Environmental Demands

This role requires frequent exertion of 10-20 pounds of force to move objects, occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force, and regular exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent works in a patient care area, interacts with patients, and may be exposed to hazardous medications or waste.
