Job OverviewNW Employment Solutions is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Canby.
Estimated Salary: $25-$30/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the full cycle of accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment of employee wages.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain general ledger entries by recording daily transactions and adjusting entries as necessary.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support business planning efforts.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Taxes and EOY Reporting:
  • Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software such as Quicken for efficient record keeping and reporting.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices in public accounting to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • Technical Accounting Skills: Proficient in technical accounting concepts and practices, with a strong foundation in corporate accounting.
  • Reconciliation Experience: Experience with account reconciliation processes, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of financial concepts that impact business operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Public Accounting Standards: Familiarity with public accounting standards is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team environment.
