Job Summary

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, focusing on safety compliance, subcontractor management, and constructability reviews. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and management skills to effectively manage scope definitions and integrations for technology scopes on selected projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Supports the company's safety culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinates with the team on technology-related design and construction efforts to meet constructability, quality, financial, and technical standards.
  • Documentation and Control: Implements RFI's, ASC's, CCD's, and documents daily reports, safety documentation, job walks, and as-built reviews.
  • Trade Coordination: Provides technical expertise related to field installation and safety, reviews scheduling with subcontractors and PM, and aligns field conditions with PM for current reviews and the GC schedule.
  • Team Leadership: Leads, coaches, and motivates team members in a proactive manner, consistent with AMSYS' FIT policy.
  • Project Delivery: Supports the team for project delivery to achieve project financial, quality, and performance objectives, and keeps PM informed of all field directions to confirm them with Client/Team.
  • Communication and Strategy: Participates in company-wide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance the company's ability to effectively market, sell, and deliver technology-related services.
  • Schedule Development: Assists in developing the schedule for all different scopes for submittals, shop drawings, BIM dates, addition of scope, and mockups/training with the PM team.
  • Progress Tracking: Tracks and reports progress on the achievement of project milestones with team members for updates to schedule and progress payments.
  • Issue Resolution: Communicates, tracks, and resolves issues in an effective and prompt manner throughout the life of the project.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Low Voltage Coordination: Assists in the management of coordination efforts between GC and our team in the field for all low voltage scopes.
  • Professional Development: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Community Involvement: Engages local civic organizations and municipality activities to establish local involvement with the projects as well as Union relations.
Requirements
  • Accurate and Timely Work: Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills: Communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Technical Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a construction project with a PM.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
  • Subcontractor Management: Ability to manage subcontractors, maximize time, and generate future work through building relationships.
  • General Knowledge: General knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including but not limited to fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.
  • Low Voltage Knowledge: Additional knowledge of Low Voltage hospital equipment is a plus - nursecall, overhead paging, access control, CCTV, and PS DAS systems.
