About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team at American Systems. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage multiple database systems, including Oracle RAC, Informix, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches to ensure seamless operation.
  • Evaluate and establish database management systems, standards, and quality assurance deliverables.
  • Coordinate and perform database deployments across our test and production environments using CI/CD tools.
  • Troubleshoot database performance issues and web application deployment problems.
  • Proactively monitor database performance using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD, and SQL Developer.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 years of recent and relevant experience in database administration.
  • Required certification: Oracle 10g Certified Professional (OCP).
  • Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in information technology management or a related field.
  • Domain expertise: Database Performance Engineering, Software Development, DevSecOps.
  • Technical skills: Oracle 7.3.4, 8i, 9i, 10g, 11g, 12cR1 & 12cR2, 18c; ASM, RAC, Multi-tenant, SharePlex; Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c; SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL Optimizer; T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio.
