Job Summary:

Integrated Wound Care is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Part Time Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality wound care to patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments on patient wounds and develop individualized treatment plans to promote optimal healing and prevent complications.
  • Monitor and document the healing progress of patient wounds, ensuring accurate and timely updates to healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and high-quality patient care.
  • Provide patient education on wound care, prevention, and management, empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other necessary procedures to promote wound healing and prevent infection.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program (PA-C) and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Wound Care Certification and a valid state license.
  • Experience in wound care is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
