Key Responsibilities:- Provide Direct Patient Care: You will be responsible for providing high-quality, primary medical care to our patients, including laboratory and diagnostic workup, and specialty referrals.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: You will work interdependently with other healthcare providers and staff in a team environment to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform Minor Procedures: You will perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with our credentialing/privileging policy.
- Consult and Coordinate Care: You will consult with and coordinate patient care with clinic physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, or other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Assess Patient Needs: You will assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic, and in-patient care as needed.
- Document Patient Records: You will be responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records in accordance with our policy.
- Provide Patient Education: You will provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow-up as appropriate during each patient visit.
- Meet Quality and Standards: You will render care to our patients in accordance with quality and standards as established by Fetter Health Care Network Inc., the standards of care prevailing in the community, applicable law, and according to state and federal grant requirements for non-discrimination.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: You must be able to function effectively as a team member and facilitate completion of tasks. Experience in FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) industry is preferred.
- Education and Experience: You must have a minimum of 2 years private practice experience or 1 year experience in a community health center. Spanish bilingual is preferred. You must be currently licensed with the State of South Carolina to practice as a Physician Assistant and have current certification with the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc.
