Ideal Candidate:
We seek a passionate and experienced Rehabilitation Specialist who is committed to delivering functional rehabilitation in diverse settings, including homes, schools, workplaces, and community spaces. You will have the opportunity to work with clients in real-life scenarios, such as cooking in their kitchens or navigating local stores and outdoor venues. You thrive in an independent role while collaborating with a dynamic team of skilled therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments and creating personalized treatment plans.
- Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment strategies and participating in team meetings and family discussions.
- Performing discharge assessments and providing recommendations for home and community safety, along with educational resources.
- Communicating patient needs and progress to the care team, physicians, clients, and their families.
- Collaborating with other professionals to ensure coordinated care and improved patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility, including lifting up to 100 pounds while adhering to safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
Additional physical demands may include:
- Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning.
- A health screening or examination may be required to ensure the ability to perform assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
