Job Summary

FactoryFix is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and daily operations of our die casting machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Assign duties and provide verbal or written work instructions to ensure clear understanding of tasks.
  • Conduct employee training to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in the interviewing and hiring process to identify top talent.
  • Perform or assist subordinates in performing duties to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee the process of safety gas shut off valves and repair or replace as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, hydraulic and air cylinders, and solenoid valves.
  • Oversee the repair of die cast machine clamping presses and spray system.
  • Replace worn out parts, assemble, adjust, and test equipment.
  • Check pump motors for noise and vibration and repair as needed.
  • Check and replace oil and oil filters as needed.
  • Repair hydraulic accumulators as needed.
  • Create procedures to standardize repairs across the board.
  • Check die casting machines daily for oil, air, water, and gas leaks and repair as needed.
  • Stop production when non-conformity has been detected.
  • Responsible for following non-conforming material procedure.
  • Provide customer corrective action assistance on tools or production processes producing defective parts.
  • Cross train with other Team Leaders on equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Maintain and upgrade die casting machines per supervisor's request.
  • Act as a liaison between shifts to maintain effective communication.
  • Work with Shift Supervisor and Die Cast Supervisor daily to help direct machine operators.
  • Responsible for operating machines within specified process parameters.
  • Adjust operating equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for document control of minor process changes.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Maintenance field or equivalent.
  • 4 years supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read electrical prints.
  • Familiarity with using ERP systems to maintain and order inventory.
