Huntsville Hospital Health System is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department or Critical Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive direct patient care and scholarly practice, including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, prescribing both pharmacological and other treatments for patients, and providing health maintenance and promotion interventions such as patient and family education and counseling.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including obtaining comprehensive patient histories, performing complete physical examinations, ordering and performing diagnostic testing and screening, diagnosing illness, and prescribing treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Assume accountability for indirect care responsibilities, including staff and student education, clinical research, program development, and quality improvement.
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Successful completion of a National Certification Exam for Nurse Practitioners.
- Current registration through the Alabama Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners.
- Approval of the Helen Keller Hospital credentialing board.
- Minimum three years of full-time experience as an ER or Critical Care RN and/or CRNP.
