Position Title: Lead Research Scientist
Job Type: Contract (potential for extension or transition to permanent)
Compensation: Starting at $34.00 per hour
Work Schedule: ONSITE, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:- Subject Matter Expertise: Spearhead scientific research initiatives centered on nutrition and clinical science, guiding projects from inception to implementation while emphasizing innovation and effectiveness.
- Experimental Design and Implementation: Develop and execute experiments utilizing sophisticated techniques and methodologies to produce reliable data sets for thorough analysis.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Scrutinize experimental outcomes with precision, deriving significant conclusions and insights to facilitate informed decision-making and advance project goals.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work in close partnership with diverse teams, including engineers, clinicians, and regulatory specialists, to ensure that research objectives align with overarching business strategies.
- Documentation and Communication: Keep meticulous records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with regulatory standards. Generate detailed reports and presentations to effectively convey findings to stakeholders.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitors' products, ingredients, features, and benefits; understand the implications of competitor activities on the company's nutrition product line.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- MS/PhD/RD with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience; experience in a clinical environment is highly preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical, industry, and/or academic experience that integrates scientific knowledge with business acumen is desirable.
- Strong skills in collaboration, project leadership, research, scientific writing, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
- Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, as a self-starter, and as a collaborator with global teams and colleagues.
- Ability to engage constructively and collegially with both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and key opinion leaders.
