Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts repairs and maintenance on clinical devices, including patient beds and stretchers, adhering to established specifications.
  • Performs both scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance checks as required.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of work orders and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Procures necessary parts and materials for repairs.
  • Provides assistance to clinical personnel with equipment training or technical documentation as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with staff regarding the status of repairs in a timely manner.

  • Ensures compliance with regulations for the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients, including annual training and adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct and policies.
QualificationsEducational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong background in mechanical and electronic systems is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of basic electronic and mechanical operations is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures effectively is preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety protocols and basic operation of testing equipment is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills are preferred.
  • Experience with patient beds, particularly critical care models, is preferred.
Additional Certifications
  • Technical certification from an accredited electrical or mechanical trade school is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Constantly required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to climb and balance.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Constantly required to handle, grasp, and feel objects.
