About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Teacher to join our team as an Academic Program Coordinator. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission of inspiring and empowering young people to reach their full potential.

The Academic Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating academic programs for youth ages 6-18. This includes designing and delivering tutoring and homework assistance services, as well as developing and leading enrichment activities that promote academic success and personal growth.

As a Certified Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our members, helping them to build confidence, develop new skills, and overcome challenges. You will work closely with our Program Director/Unit Director to ensure that all programs and activities meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement academic programs that meet the needs of our members, including tutoring and homework assistance services.
  • Design and deliver enrichment activities that promote academic success and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with our Program Director/Unit Director to ensure that all programs and activities meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to our members, helping them to build confidence and develop new skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking progress and outcomes of our programs and activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with youth, preferably in a teaching or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • A high level of energy and enthusiasm, with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
  • Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
