Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software systems that meet business requirements and improve customer experiences.
  • Develop, modify, and enhance software applications to support business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies.
  • Operate within various elements of Charter's technical systems and understand their impact on organizational outcomes.
  • Participate in Scrum rituals and apply Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understand and apply technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.
  • Identify fixes to defects raised and lead code review, debugging, and testing of software applications.
  • Provide Level of Effort (LOE) on a project/feature level and develop software independently.
  • Develop technical requirements and technical design documents.
  • Support major deployments and resolve critical deployment issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries around the behavior of developed software.
  • Mentor junior software developers.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in database management systems, coding, testing, and designing software.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software development methodologies.
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design patterns and software architecture patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience with JavaScript and back-end framework.
  • 2-4 years of experience with React Js or similar front-end framework.
