Compounding Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

Option Care Health is seeking a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies
  • Prepare medications for accurate compounding
  • Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages
  • Accurately label and package medications
  • Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
  • Licensed or registered (if required by the state)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate-level mathematical calculations
