Job Summary

Sunnyside Unified District is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented District Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with grounds keeping tasks, including mowing, pruning, and watering plants.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and brooms.
  • Report maintenance and repair problems to supervisor and assist with ordering supplies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year grounds keeping or custodial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to moving equipment, extreme weather conditions, toxic fumes and chemicals, and infectious diseases.
