About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Life Professional to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Children Center. As a Child Life Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing social, emotional, and developmental support to pediatric patients and their families during hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement interventions that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being of pediatric patients.
  • Develop and participate in outreach and educational activities to teach families, staff, and the community about issues and services related to ill and hospitalized children.
  • Maintain proper education and training to continue with professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in child life.

Requirements

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Child Life Professional credentialed from the Association of Child Life Professionals obtained within 12 months of hire date.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
