Department Overview

The In-Home Services team is responsible for overseeing field operations and managing thousands of technicians across nearly 100 locations nationwide. We are committed to fostering a collaborative workforce that excels in inventory management, fleet operations, and performance metrics. The IHS team is essential in connecting our customers with top-tier products and services offered by DISH.


Key Responsibilities

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials and equipment, including satellite dishes, award-winning receivers, DVRs, and related hardware, in and out of the warehouse to support both internal and external clients.

Primary Duties:

  • Accurately document the quantity and type of equipment, merchandise, and supplies stored in the warehouse and on delivery vehicles, as well as all materials required for various installations and service requests.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of warehouse inventory, vehicle stock, and saleable items on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Receive returned equipment, new stock, and vendor deliveries; organize inventory in the warehouse; prepare shipments for return to the re-manufacturing department, and log distributed hardware information in the inventory management system.
  • Execute daily inventory transactions for all utilized products, ensuring proper account linkage.
  • Coordinate equipment shipments to remote employees, ensuring precise documentation and timely dispatch.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license in the state of employment, with a driving record that meets DISH's safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, with overtime compensation.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 125 pounds.
  • Capability to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and inventory tracking software to efficiently manage and update inventory records.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $18.50 per hour.

The base pay range provided is a guideline. Individual total compensation may vary based on qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is determined by the role's location and may change based on work location. Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment screening, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
