Job Description

A leading elevator and accessibility solutions provider, DME Elevators and Lifts, is seeking a full-time Lift Mechanic Trainee to join our dynamic and growing business. With over 45 years of experience in residential elevators, commercial LULA elevators, wheelchair lifts, dumbwaiters, and stairlifts, we strive for Excellence in Elevation.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting in the installation or servicing of elevators or lifts, utilizing required hand tools
  • Moving and raising components using hoists, dollies, or other provided equipment
  • Updating daily work communications
  • Maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment; keeping parts and supplies in order
  • Ensuring a clean and hazard-free work area throughout the day
  • Utilizing and maintaining safety equipment on job sites
  • Performing other duties as business needs dictate

Requirements and Qualifications include:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Computer and technology proficiency

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, and stand for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift up to +/- 150 lbs for short distances
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 5 stories and in confined spaces

Work hours are generally Monday through Friday, 6am to 3pm, with occasional overtime and Saturdays as needed to meet business demands.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
