Derrick Hand

The Derrick Hand is a critical member of our well servicing team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rigs. This role requires a strong understanding of rigging procedures, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.

• Perform regular inspections of fall arrest systems, harnesses, and hoisting components to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Operate the Geronimo with precision and accuracy, adhering to standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the racking of rods and tubing, and participate in pipe tallying and handling.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of equipment, and report any issues or concerns to the Rig Operator.
• Train and mentor floor hands on day-to-day operations, and communicate effectively with the Rig Operator on work site operations and maintenance.

• 1+ year(s) of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Must be familiar with pump and tank operations.
• Must have a valid state issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to successfully perform the duties of a floor hand.
• Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment.
• Ability to show knowledge of running tongs and all other equipment.
• Competent communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
