Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Oncology Nurse to join our team at ICONMA, L.L.C. as a full-time employee. As a Travel Oncology Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusion therapy, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, documenting findings and communicating with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and side effects.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning and referrals for support services.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Utah or a compact state.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications/treatments.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to maintain same in situations with rapidly changing circumstances.
  • Self-motivated and able to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
  • Great customer service and communication skills, including oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Able to receive and manage sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Able to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; emotionally mature.
  • Flexibility and willingness to accept other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in oncology or infusion therapy.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
