Banquet Houseman

Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, a prestigious private club in Orlando, is seeking a skilled Banquet Houseman to join our team.

We are committed to delivering exceptional service to our 500 members and their families. As a Banquet Houseman, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of events and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our banquet rooms.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage, and service areas.
• Conduct routine inventory and care for banquet supplies, including linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware, and decorations.
• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications and reset the rooms to their original state after events.
• Assist servers, transport tables and equipment, report maintenance issues, and provide information to banquet patrons.
• Help assemble temporary dance floors, podiums, and other structures, and upsell venue services and amenities to guests.
• Relay data to outside departments and assist audio-visual personnel in setting up equipment.
• Transport food, beverages, decorations, and equipment to off-premises event locations.

• Food safety certification.
• High school degree or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least one to three years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
• Knowledge of various room set-ups and standard equipment.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
• Ability to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups.
• Prior guest relations training a plus.
• Ability to perform in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to read instructions and follow cleaning schedules.

This role requires standing for long periods, walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, and twisting or reaching. You will also be required to push, pull, or lift up to 100 pounds, work in hot, humid, and noisy environments, and perform continuous repetitive motions.
