Fusion Optix is seeking a highly skilled Extrusion Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for optimizing extrusion processes and developing new methods to improve product quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Material Selection: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and develop materials suitable for extrusion processes, considering performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Process Monitoring: Implement process monitoring systems to ensure real-time control of critical variables and maintain product quality.
  • Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to operators and technicians involved in extrusion processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics or Materials Engineering preferred) or a related field.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience of operating extruders and a solid understanding of plastics extrusion processes and downstream equipment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in extrusion process optimization, troubleshooting, and equipment setup and maintenance, as well as knowledge of various extrusion materials and their properties.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
